The Heliconian CLub’s Literature Section is delighted to present a “Soiree of Readings” by new and seasoned members.
Isabel Berchem will read from her children’s book for all ages, Endangered: The Cheetah and the Photographer. (Isabel joined the Club in the spring of this year. She has published work in several literary journals. In addition to her writing, she is a social worker with a focus on empowering women.)
Ann Elizabeth Carson will share selections from her forthcoming book, Filling The Ark. (Previously a psychotherapist with York University’s Counselling Centre, and in private practice, Ann is a visual artist and the published author of five books. She has been a member of the Club since 2006.)
Sharon Crawford will read excerpts from her Beyond Mystery series novels. (Sharon, a former journalist, writes mystery fiction and memoir, and teaches writing at Toronto Public Library branches. She also runs the East End Writers’ Group and has been a Club member for four years.)
We cordially invite all members to this intimate literary gathering before our Hall’s cozy hearth. Members, free; $10 for guests. Refreshments will be served; cash bar.
