August 15, 2015 – 4Elements Living Arts

Tell Me A Story

Traditional wisdom teaches that we are our stories. How do we connect our deepest values with our home?  Through storytelling, participants will hear and explore the ways that our most important narratives are rooted in the land.

“Not to tell your story is to forget your life.” Ann Elizabeth Carson explores aging as a life-long journey of self-discovery open to everyone as she reads from her books, We All Become Stories, and Laundry Lines, Stories and Poems.

In the second part of the workshop we will explore our own stories of place with facilitator Shannon Hengen.  In an environment of heightened listening, we will learn more about ourselves, our values, and our shared earth.

Ann Elizabeth Carson is the author of four published books with a fifth forthcoming. She writes and sculpts full time in Toronto and on Manitoulin Island, reads at multimedia events and leads workshops in the arts. (anncarson.com)
