#BecomingStories: Debby’s Dad

I have been inviting guests at my readings to share their stories and insights of self-discovery as elders or of elders they know, about this fascinating and rewarding stage of life. We will be sharing them regularly here on the blog.  Please contact us if you have a story you’d like to share, and follow along the conversation on Facebook and Twitter using #BecomingStories.

From Debby H:

“I find my father, who is 86, likes nothing more than to have me, my sister and my children come over or go out to a restaurant and just talk. He shares observations on the world today and how he feels its not an “old person’s” world. He feel that he still has a lot to contribute to his kids and grandkids — and the world — but nobody really wants to hear it.”
